“Talking About Race for Parents” Workshop II

THURSDAY, APRIL 4TH
6:00 - 6:30 PM Arrival
6:30 - 8:30 PM Workshop
8:30 - 9:00 PM Departure
This second workshop will:
- Build upon the work in Workshop I,
- Delve more into how children see race and
- Give participants the chance to role play to learn and practice skills for approaching age-appropriate conversations using a racial equity lens.
NOTE: You do not have to have attended Workshop I in order to participate in this workshop! We will share documents from the previous workshop for you to review ahead of time.
- Childcare and activities will be available for school-aged children in the cafeteria.
- A light dinner which will include gluten free & vegetarian options will be provided for participants and children in Rm 103.
- Just before the workshop begins, children can take their dinners down to the cafeteria.
A variety of ticket options are available to ensure all who want to attend this important training can attend.
